SYDNEY PREPARATIONS
(Reed. Dec. 23, 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 22. Preparations for the Boy Scouts’ jamboree, beginning next Thursday at Braclfield, a northern suburb named after the harbour bridge designer, are well advanced.
Five hundred' acres will be under canvas to house 10,000 scouts arriving from all parts of the world. Huge
contracts for catering have been arranged. All essential services have been provided, including a hospital capable of accommodating 60 patients.
New Zealand, with 600 scouts, will have the largest representation. Other countries which are sending contingents are tire United States, Canada, Ceylon, England, Wales, France, Hungary, Noumea, Scotland, South Africa, and the South Sea Islands. 1 *
In a radio telephone conversation between 'Mr. K. Boden and his son, Kenneth Boden, a Boy Scout on the Atwateia, on Wednesday, Mr. Boden was told that, although a rough trip was toeing experienced, all members of the S'cout party were well and were enjoying themselves.
