Electrical Wiremen’s Examination

The New Zealand Gazette announces that the following Gisborne candidates were successful in the electrical wircinen's examination in September:—-Written section: R. W. Patty. Practical section: .1. E. Bennett, T. English and .1. G. Short. In the written section Mr. Patty was the only one in six Gisborne candidates to pass, while three out of five passed in the practical work. Fewer Traffic Offences The list of traffic offences heard this morning by Mr. E. L. Walton, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court was unusually small. The cases were conducted by the borough traffic inspector, Mr. T. G. Nowell, and in one of them evidence was given by the Transport Department’s inspector, Mr. R. 'Metcalfe. Frank Chitty -was fined £2 and costs 12s for exceeding the borough speed limit on a motor-cycle in Roebuck road. For riding a motor-cycle at a speed of 12 m.p.h. in the 'borough on November 12, John Hill was fined £1 and costs 12s.
