WAIROA MAINTENANCE (Special to tlio Herald.) WAIROA, this day. A communication was received from the Treasury at the monthly meeting of the Wairoa County Council yesterday, advising payment of main highways maintenance .subsidies lor tiie quarter ended June 30, 1938, as follows: Gisborne-Wairoa, via Morere highway, £4OO Os lid; Waikaremoana Valley," £405 17s Id: Nuhaka-Wai-kokopu, £l7l 17s lid: Gisborne-Napier State highway, £152 Gs. ' Payment was also advised of £547 10s 6d, the balance of the subsidy on general rates levied for the year ended March 31, 1938.
