COASIAL TRADE The Koulunui reached Gisborne al 7 a.m. to-day from Wellington. She completes discharge here to-day and will sail to-night or to-morrow for Waikokopu to lighter the Port Jackson.

The Pakura arrives at Gisborne tomorrow morning from Lyttelton. Wellington and Napier. The vessel is expected to sail to-morrow night for Portland and Auckland. In place of the Pukeko, she will load at Portland on Monday and at Auckland on Tuesday for Coast bays. Gisborne and Napier. The Margaret W. left Auckland al :i p.m. yesterday for Tokomaru Bay. Tolaga Bay and Gisborne. She arrives here to-morrow morning and sails in the evening for Auckland.

Tiie Pukeko has experienced delay

in working northern ports and is now expected to leave Auckland to-day for Coast bays, Gisborne and Napier, arriving here on Friday. From Gisborne the ship proceeds lo Napier and Lyttelton.

I'he PoOlta, from Greymouth, completes loading at Westport to-day for Napier and Gisborne. The ship is due here on Monday to discharge coal. timber and posts.

The Awahou. which has been undergoing annual survey al Wellington, is to load at Wellington on Friday and Saturday for Napier and Gisborne. She is due here on Tuesday.

The Wainui did not clear Bluff until yesterday and she is now expected to work Duncdin to-day, Oaniaru and Timaru to-mbrrow, Lyttelton on Friday, thence Wellington. The vessel is still expected to discharge hen' on October 1!). FIRST CRUISE LINER The first of the cruise ships to visit New Zealand from Australia this reason, the new Orient liner Orcades .'.ill reach Auckland from Brisbane m October 30. The Orcades will have a large passenger list, including many through travellers from London. The liner will be making her firs! visit to the Dominion, having been launched last year at Bar-row-in-Furness. Siie is of 28.<15(i tons gross and is commanded by Captain F. R. O'Sullevan.
