Mr. and Mrs. .). Ronaldson, residents of British West Africa, are paying a short holiday visit to Gisbome. They are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Salmon, 201 Stout street.
The Rev. C. 11. and Mrs. Lowden and their son. Mi-. Aubrey Lowden, were visitors to Gisbome yesterday. They broke their journey here on their way back no-thward after a visit to Wellington.
Mr. G. H. Hume, at present deputysuperintendent to the Masterto.n Fire Brigade, has been appointed deputysuperintendent station ollicer to the Lower Hutt Fire Brigade. There were 21 applicants. The following oassengers travelled by UnlOn Airways' planes this morning between Gisbornc, Napier and Palmers ton North:—Gisbomc-Napier. —Messrs. W. 11. Jenkins, S. M. McCarthy, L. W. Gilbert, G. Bowman, and Hciford. Gisborne-Palmerston North.-Miss I. Banks. Yesterday's inward passengers were: —BlenheimGisbornc. —Mr. W. 11. Grant. NapierGisborne. —Mesdarnes C. W. Findlay and P. A. Pettit: Master D. Pettit: Messrs. L. Miles and A. L. Coleman.
