TRAINS DELAYED
OVERHEAD WIRE FOULED Through a defect in the supporting gear, the overhead wire for electric trains when they are running on the north line from Wellington, sagged between two funnels and was fouled by the Napier express recently, bringing down more of the equipment and causing a delay on the line. The delay was intensified through an accident to Mr. H. Scott, a line erector, who fell from a ladder and was sent to hospital with scalp wounds and concussion. Brown, black net; Miss V. Seymour, black and white cocktail suit; Miss D. Tait, navy floral soun silk; Miss M. Fraser, navy blue spotted crepe; Miss M. Reo, green marocain; Miss N. Agnew, black net with gold trimmings; Miss S. Clarke, floral georgette; Miss L. Rennie, violet taffeta; Miss M. Nelson. gold lame; Miss M. Maunsell, black and gold cocktail suit: and Miss M. Alexander, green angel-skin. Mr. Moore has returned after a lengthy visit to Australia and is staying with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Moore, at Te Hua station. Mrs. B. Paviour, Gisborne, spent a few days last week also at Te Hua. Miss V. Delahunty, Otoko, spent the week-end with Mrs. A. Shaw. Miss A. Barrow. Ormond, was a recent guest of Mrs. C. , Gaukrodger.
