WIIATATUTU FOOTBALL CLUB SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION (Mci'iild Oorrospondont.) Tin' Wlialalutu Hall was the scene of caietv on Saturday night when the members of the Whatatutu Football Club held a dance. The music was supplied by Miss L. Ruru’s orchestra, extras being played by Mr. S. Peneha. t’iie duties of M.C. were capably carried out by Mr. M. Spence. Supper was served from tables gaily decorated with flowers and (lowering shrubs. During the evening Mr. W. Picken •• ngratutated the Whatatutu football !.c un on winning the Waikohu Memorial Shield and spoke of the-splendid sporting spirit in which the boys had played the game throughout the sea son. Mr. G. Brown, vice-president of the Waikohu Sub-Union, in presenting the trophies and medals, commented on the splendid spirit in which the game had been played. Members of the Whatatutu and Waipaoa teams were each given a medal, the former for winning the shield and the latter for winning the no rials competition. Mr. P. Bielski, white chiffon: Mrs. Casey, black marocain; Mrs. B. Brown, scarlet velvet; Mrs. Van Slykc. brown georgette; and Mrs. .1. Anderson, blue •repe-de-chine. Miss R. Boynlin wore a dove grey frock of windswept satin with gold sequin trimmings; Miss A. Barrow, pale green spotted sheer; Miss R. King, a cocktail suit of floral and black satin; Miss J. Clarke, apple green georgette; Miss G. Parkinson, brown and floral georgette; Miss T. Shaw, midnight blue georgette with a silver girdle; Miss F. Hood, scarlet net with gold sequins; Miss A.
