DECEASED MEMBERS SERVICE UULOGISED (Pnr Proas Associntion.) WELLINGTON, this day. The council of the New Zealand ■Society of Accountants, which met this week, agreed that registered accountants (members who were in salaried positions and not in public practice) who were qualified for advancement in status, should be further encouraged to apply for fellowships. High tributes were paid to the long oeriod of faithful and efficient service given as members of the council by Mr. W. Hamilton Irvine, Gisborne, and Mr. J. E. Reid. Invercargill, who died recently.
The next conference is to be held at Palmerston North.
