TRIAL OF 195 PERSONS TWENTY-THREE TO DIE OVER 100 SENT TO GAOL (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Aug. 3, 3 p.m.) MADRID, Aug. 2. After a trial, extending over six weeks, of 195 persons accused of high treason and espionage, 23 have been sentenced to death. Twenty-five were acquitted and 106 were imprisoned for terms ranging from six to 30 years. Eleven received the maximum. Others were released during the course of the trial, or their cases were ordered to be investigated again.
