The managers are particularly pleased with the form of the AH Blacks, whose training shows greatest keenness and evidence of the development of the best team work.
The utmost optimism exists regarding the result of the second test against Australia, to be played at Brisbane on Saturday, for which tomorrow's engagement at Toowoomba with the Queensland country fifteen is looked \ipon as excellent practice, though the tourists are not taking the game too lightly. The players are mixing pleasures well with the more serious side of the tour. They are taking every opportunity to see near parts of the State and are visiting farming districts and handy beauty spots. The manager, Dr.. G. J. Adams, made an inspection of the general hospital at Brisbane. Australian players from other parts have arrived in Brisbane and will engage in strenuous preparation, but they are not publishing details of the tactics they intend adopting on Saturday. There is no doubt that an effort will be made to counter the predominance of the All Blacks in rear division play by developing an attacking scheme instead of concentrating on defence as in Sydney. The All Blacks leave for Toowoomba to-day.
