(HornKl Correspondent.) The Waikohu Rugby representatives visited Matawai last Saturday, winning a friendly match that, was played against the Motll sub-union team by six points to three. Despite the cold weather, there were many spectators. Mr. C. Watton controlled the game. , The snow which fell on Sunday is still covering the hill-tops surrounding' Matawai. St. Mary's Ladies' Guild held its annual meeting in Mrs. G. F. Mortleman's home. Mrs. W. Thomas was elected the president for the ensuing year. and Mrs. G. F. Mortlemcn secretary. Arrangements were made for the annual (lower show, which was fixed for October 1. Mrs. Gibson resigned on account of ill-health. Mr. N. S. Gibson, who returned from Massey College last week, was successful in completing his three weeks' course. The proposed visit of the combined team from Matawai and Korang.i basketball clubs Io Opotiki was postponed, as several girls could not make the trip.
