DEATHBED WISH

ENGLISH BIBLE READING FULFILMENT IMPOSSIBLE BUCHAREST, July 22. Almost the last wish of the late Dowager Queen Marie of Rumania was to ask that someone should read to her from the English Bible. It could not be fulfilled. The Queen first asked that the rector of the English church in Bucharest should go to her at Sinaia and read some of the Anglican Church service to her. Hearing that he had gone to London Queen Marie asked if someone from the English or American colony would go and read to her from the Bible in English, but, before anyone could be found, she died.
