DETTON BEATS MEEHAN FALL IN SIXTH ROUND (Pur PrflNS Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. In a bout marked by much clever wrestling and plenty of elbow jolts, drop-kicks, head throws and flying tackles, Dean Dctton, ex-heavyweight champion of the world, beat Pat Median the Canadian, by one fall which he obtained with a jack knife hold in the sixth round at Wellington Town Hall last night. It was a colourful bout from start to finish and the rapid action greatly pleased the well-filled house. In a second professional bout over six rounds, Anton Koolman, Wellington, beat Eddie Morley, Wairarapa, bv a fall in the last round.
