EIGHT REBELS KILLED
BATTLE WITH TROOPS
(Reed. Aug. 1, 2.20 p.m.) HAIFA, July 31. Eight rebels were killed and 15 wounded in a pitched battle with troops at the foot of Mt. Gilboa, near Nazareth. Jewish decoys were sent out to draw the lire of the rebels, whereupon the tr'oops rushed up. Some rifles and it quantity of ammunition were captured. \ Jerusalem's communications with the outside world were seriously interrupted this morning as a result of a severing of the telephone wires.
