HUNGARIANS AT ROTORUA

A fairly large audience at Rotorua watched the two Hungarian table tennis players. V. Barna and L. Bellak give stylish demonstrations against some of the best players from Hamilton and Auckland. Fast play was seen 'in the contest between K. G. Cantlay, Dominion singles champion, and Barna, but the greater experience of the Hungarian gave him honours. Results:—
Singles.—-Barna beat E. Cheal, 21—7, 21—15; Bellak beat R. L. Dennis, 21—12. 19—21, 21—14; Barna beat Cantlay. 21—18. 21—12; Bellak beat P. S. Boys 21—14, 21—17; Barna beat Bellak, 21—10, 21—19, 21—12. Doubles.—Barna and Bellak beat Cantlay and Boys, 21—0, 21—17; Bellak and Dennis beat Barna and Cheal, 18—22. 21—19, 14—21, 21—17. 21—19.
