LONDON, July 30. The three-day match at Swansea between the Glamorgan eleven and the Australian cricketers commenced to-day.
The teams were announced as follows:
Australia: D. G. Bradman, J. JH. Fingleton, W. A. Brown, A. G. Chipperfield, A. L. Hassett, C. G. Barnes, N. G. Waite, E. S. White, E.Li McCormick, F. A. Ward, C. W. Walker, and C. L. Badcock (twelfth man}.. Glamorgan: Turnbull, Clay,- Wooller, Matthews, Mercer, E. Davies, D. Davies, -Smart, Brierley, E. C. Jones and Dyson.
Winning the toss the Glamorgan captain elected to bat, but the side had scored only 38 runs when heavyrain set in and play was abandoned for the day.
