WAIROA CHURCH GUILD 63RD BRTIIDAY (H«rald Corrnspondont.) St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Guild, Wairoa, held its sixty-third birthday party last Friday night, and, despite the wet and miseiable weather, there was a large attendance. The hall was tastefully decorated. , ... The Rev. N. H. Finch presided. The programme comprised: —'Cello solo, “The Rosary,” Mr. A. Huston; sketch, Messrs. R. Finch, and L. Butcher; song, “When Irish Eyes aic Smiling,” Mrs. Single; pianoforte solo, "II Bacio,” Miss Jeanette McLellan; tableau, "Rock of Ages,” Bible Class girls; song, “The March of the Cameron Mc-n,” Mr. R. Bauld, sen.; song, “Old Fashioned House,” Mrs. W. Innes; sketch, “The. Wood-Smaller, Messrs. B. Finch,• J. Easton, and J. Hamilton; tableau: Christ is All,” Bible Class girls; song, “Pokarekare Ara,” Miss M. Watson; .sketch, “The Magician.” Master. W. Balfour. Two competitions were held, flic winners being Mr. C. Mackay and Miss M. Watson. The birthday cake, decorated with G 3 candles, was cut by Mrs. E. Catley, the oldest member of the church present. The chairman remarked that on the King’s Birthday there were always birthday honours, and announced various church birthday honours. Supper was served by the Ladies' Guild.
