SINGLE MAN KILLED
CRUSHED BY LORRY GREY.MOUTH FATALITY (Par Prass Association.) HOKITIKA, this clay. A fatality occurred in the main street of Rimu yesterday afternoon, Charles Francis Mercy, a resident of Rimu, aged 51 years, formerly a horse trainer, being overtaken while walking and knocked down by a motor lorry driven by Clifford Hende. The victim’s head was crushed, death being instantaneous. He was a single man. His stepmother, Mrs. Lynch, resides in Oreymouth.
