DECLARED NO FIGHT
FIASCO IN MELBOURNE TWO OVERSEAS BOXERS ACTION CALL IGNORED (Elnc. To], Copyright-—United Press Assn.) (Reed. July 16, 12 noon.) MELBOURNE, July 16. A boxing contest last evening at the West Melbourne stadium between Ken Overlin and Attilio Sabatino ended abruptly. After seven rounds of one of the worst boxing exhibitions presented by overseas boxers in Australia, the referee, Mr. Jack Carroll, who had repeatedly told both men to put more action into their work, lifted his hands in disgust and signalled “no fight” and left the ring. The crowd, which had been singing and whistling popular songs while the boxers sparred, cheered the referee’s decision.
