HONOLULU TOURISTS

VISIT TO DOMINION SOUTH ISLAND ITINERARY WINTER SPORTS RESORTS

(Pur Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. The claims of the South Island for an increased share of the tourist trade will be recognised in the itinerary arranged tor a party of 22 Honolulu residents, who arrived by the liner Aorangi to undertake an extensive tour of the Dominion.

While the North Island resorts will be visited, it is intended to give prime consideration to the mountain scenery and winter sports ol the South Island.

The lour is organised by Miss Edith M. Sykes, representative for Ca'nada and United States of the South Island Travel Association. She stated that it was the largest organised party of tourists ever to leave Honolulu on a visit to New Zealand, and she was looking forward to a continuation of these activities.

It was intended to spend 44 days in the Dominion. “Sponsored by the South Island Travel Association, the itinerary provides that 32 days will be spent in the south,” Miss Sykes added. “Coming from the Honolulu climate, members of the party are anxious to obtain as much winter sports as possible, and emphasis has been placed on these activities."
