EXILES FROM GERMANY

JEWISH MIGRANTS NEW LIFE IN AUSTRALIA (Por Pross Association.) AUCKLAND, this day.

Illustrating the strength of antiSemitic feeling in Nazi Germany, a further large party of German Jews reached Auckland by the liner Aorangi yesterday on their way to commence a new life in Australia. Between 25 and 30 similar migrants previously passed through Auckland by the Niagara on May 30.

While possessing obvious bitterness for the regime which had forced their migration, the passengers were reluctant to discuss the conditions suffered by the Jewish community in Germany, preferring to dwell on the future, rather than on the past.

The general sentiment was expressed by a statement by one member of the party that they were fortunate in having secured permits to leave Germany. They were also lucky, he added, in having a chance of beginning a new life in Australia. While many of the migrants are comparatively young men, the party includes a number of women and children.

'ln addition to . professional and business men. several farmers a're among the travellers, and it is expected they will endeavour to acquire land in Australia.
