ACTIVITY INCREASING POLICE REINFORCEMENTS Fourteen constables arrived at Taharoa on Thursday from Hamilton to assist in the police search for the Hindu storekeeper, Dalu Desai, who has been missing since May 7. Additional men will be sent to the 'settlement if necessary.

The party consisted of men who have been assembled in. Hamilton from various parts of the North Island during the past week. A special bus was Chartered to convey the constables and their gear to the camp on the shores of Lake Taharoa. Considerable difficulty was experienced in negotiating the narrow, winding road.
