BURIAL AT GLAMIS
COUNTESS OF STRATHMORE WORLD-WIDE SYMPATHY CONDOLENCES IN PARIS GESTURES BY STRANGERS (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. June 24, 3 p.m.) LONDON. June 23. The Countess of Strathmore is being interred at Glarnis Castle on June 27. After a period of suspense the postponement. until July 19, of the visit to Paris by the King and Queen was announced with an indication that the suggestion came from the President of France, M. Lebrun.
Their Majesties are deeply appreciative of the motives and gladly accepted. The news of the death of the Countess shocked Paris. Strangers stopped English visitors, in the streets and expressed sympathy. Everybody is delighted that a solution was found, permitting the Queen tp acompany the King on the visit to France. Condolences have been received at the Palace from all parts of the world, including the Pope and King Victor Emmanuel of Italy.
