At a cost of £3OOO, new premises are to be erected in Napier almost immediately for the Napier-Wairoa-Gisborne Transport Company. The building, which will be situated almost directly opposite the company's present premises in Station street, will be of ferro-concrete throughout. The latter has been in New Zealand for some time, wrestling with the top flight of the overseas professionals in the Dominion ring; while Raines, a recent arrived, gave proof of his calibre in Wellington on Saturday, when he was defeated by "Lofty" Blomfieid only through a penalty fall, after a torrid match.
