MINISTER DEPARTS
VISIT TO AUSTRALIA AGRICULTURAL CONFERENCE (Pur Prtiss Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. For the purpose of attending a meeting of the Australian Agricultural Council, the Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. W. Lee Martin, left Auckland by the Aorangi for Sydney.
The meeting will begin at Canberra next Tuesday and the Minister will return to New Zealand by the Awatea on May 26, after visiting some of the agricultural districts of New South Wales.
When he left Auckland last night, tie was accompanied by the DirectorGeneral of Agriculture, Mr. A. H. Cockayne, and by his private secretary, Mr. W. R. King. Mr. Cockayne is to continue from Australia to Great Britain to investigate agricultural developments in the United Kingdom, Canada and Europe.
