DISTRICT COMMITTEES COUNCIL OF RECREATION (P«r Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The responsibilities of the National Council of Physical Welfare and Recreation, and of the district committees to be appointed to work with it, were emphasised by the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. 'Parry, when replying to a deputation from a sports’ body. Of equal importance to the work of the national council, the Minister said, would be the district committee. He felt that from the material already offering, there would be selected a personnel for each committee. which, in co-operation with the council, would be very satisfactory and would efficiently carry out the duties entailed.
