DECISION ON POINTS SfKALEY\S SUPERIORITY i, (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. The New Zealand wrestling champion, Lofty Blomfield suffered his first defeat since his return from America at the hands of Pat Fraley, the Canadian cowboy, in a match which drew a capacity house to the Town Hall last night. No falls were registered during the eight eightminute rounds and the decision in favour of Fraley was given on points. The Canadian made his second appearance in Auckland aitd New Zealand, he having previously defeated Joe Tonti here. There was no doubt about Fraley’s superiority in tonight’s match as it was clear from the- outset _ .-hat he had Blomfield worried bv his ability to vary his method of attack.
REPEATED WARNINGS MOEN GETS DECISION ROUGH BOUT WITH KENNEDY (Per Press Association.} • WELLINGTON, this day. In the roughest wrestling match seen in the Wellington Town Hall since the Blomfield-Forsgren bout ( f two winters ago, Andy Moevi beat Jack Kennedy. on points, the falls being- even.- -The referee was . constantly warning the two professionals for infringements and at one time stopped the Lout and threatened to give a penalty fall against the next man to transgress. Kennedy took a fall with drop kicks in "the sixth round and Mocn one with a dump in the seventh. Tinlast round went in Moon’s favour. ’After the contest, Moen had to have his lip sewn up where Kennedy had jolted- it. and Kennedy was taken to "the hospital to have his arm Xrayed for a suspected fracture.
