MEMORANDA
The Gisborne Savage Club is holding its second korero of the season in the City Hall to-morrow evening, and a bright musical programme has 'been arranged.
At the Kaitaralahi Hall to-night a dance will be held, music being supplied by , Mrs. Thomson's orchestra. An advertisement in this issue notifies that free buses will be dispatched from town and Whatatulu. The annual meeting of the Gisborne Amateur Operatic Society will be held this evening in the Repertory Society's rooms. After the adoption of the “Rio Rita” accounts and the election of officers, a decision will be made regarding a production for the 1938 season. It was the hope of the retiring committee to have a show produced at least once a year. Members were of the opinion that there was ample talent in Gisborne for the shows to be carried, out and attain the same high standard for which the society was known in the past.
