Queen Wilhelmina is said to be considering whether she shall abdicate in favour of Princess Juliana, heiress to the throne, now that Princess Juliana, who is the wife of Prince Bernard Zur Lippc-Beistcrfeld, has had her first child. Her Majesty, who is aged 58 years, succeeded to the throne on the death of her father. King Willem 111, on November 23, 1390. Site is the widow of Prince Henry of MecklcnburgSchwerin, who died on July 5, 1934.
Princess Juliana, who is aged 2!) years, and Prince Bernard were married on January 7, 1937. Her Royal Highness, Princess Beatrix, was born on January 31.
