MAN SENT TO GAOL

ASSAULT AND BURGLARY (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. Charges of breaking and entering by night on December 26 the dwellinghouse of Miss D. Boyce, and committing theft therein, and of assaulting Wallace Craig on January 28, were heard by Mr. W. F. Stilwell, S.M.. against Charles Gordon Holland. He pleaded guilty to both, and on the burglary charge was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. On the assault charge he was given three months' hard labour. The case arose from his pursuit and capture by Craig when seen at the same window as he used in a burglary a month before.
