A proposal that a team of four Maoris should be sent to compete against America, Canada and Australia in buck-jumping and bull-dog-ging at the Sydney Royal Show was put before yesterday's meeting of the Poverty Bay A. and P. Association's committee in a 'cablegram from the Sydney Royal Show committee, which offered return transport plus £6O each, with-an opportunity to will prize-money. The secretary, Mr. W. E. Chamberlain, reported that he had replied that the Maoris were not experienced hi bull-dogging, consequently the association could not rcc6mmend a team. This action was endorsed.
