PERSONAL NOTES (Herald Correspondent.) Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Bignell, accompanied bv Miss Belle Doig and Masters H. and B. Bignell, returned to Tokomaru Bay this week from a caravan tour of the Auckland district.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Todd and family have returned after spending the week-end in Gisborne with Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Tuke.
Mr. F. Ransley left on Tuesday, en route to Christchurch, where he has accepted a new position. Mrs. Chalmers, Ruatoria, has been spending a holiday with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Chalmers, Hautanoa.—Mr. A. Morgan was a visitor to Gisborne last week-end. —Mr. and Mrs. Grey'Glen and Miss Lynley Glen have returned to Tokomaru Bay after spending a holiday in the Christchurch district. — Mr. J. Sharpe, Kaikohe, was a recent visitor to Tokomaru Bay.—Mr. and Mrs. F. Goodman, Napier, were recent guests at Te Puia.—Mr. A. McDonald spent, the week-end in Gisborne.
Pupils who have returned to the Gisborne High School from Toko•naru Bay include Misses Sylvia Doig, Mona Chaffey, Isobel Mackay, Masters R. Morgan, G. McDonald and K. Beattie.
Mr. J. Burdett has returned to Gisborne to the staff of Messrs. Bignell ind Holmes, after spending several weeks in Tokomaru Bay with that firm during the absence of the manager.
Mrs. F. Ransley and her two small children are staying with Mrs. A. L. Walker.—Miss Lorna McHattie. Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. J. Oates Mr. J. Bennett, Napier, has resumed teaching on the staff of the Tokomaru Bay Native School.—Miss Norma Quintal left recently to take over a new position in Gisborne. Mrs. D. Brown and Miss Freda McKnight, Gisborne, are spending a noliday with Mr. and Mrs. J. Mcknight. Hautanoa.—Miss R. Small is the guest of the Misses Busby, Ahi<oura Miss Alma Winter. Te Puia Springs, has left for Auckland, where •me has a position in the firm of John Burns and Company. Mrs. A. Johnson, Gisborne. is the guest of Mrs. H. W. Johnson.—Miss D. Grant, Greymouth, was the weekend visitor of Mrs. A. J. Grant, Te Puia Springs.—Mrs. J. Hitchens, Te Puia Springs, is an inmate of the Waiapu Hospital.—Mrs. A. J. Hicks returned to her_ home at Te Puia Springs this week after a visit to Gisborne. Waiapu Hospital Staff Changes Sister Barron and Sister Clarke, of the Waiapu Hospital staff, Te Puia Springs, are leaving for Gisborne this week. Sister Barron was in charge of the infantile paralysis cases, and latterly joined the relieving staff. Two Australian nurses are joining 'he hospital staff this week. Sister Robertson has left on annual leave, and the matron, Miss Corniser, has returned from annual furlough, spent on a motor tour.
