(Herald Correspondent.) There were only five rainy days in Patutahi in January, the total rainfall being 3.4oini, compared with 10 rainy days in January of last year, when 4.04 in. was experienced. The maximum fall was on January 25, when 1.91 in. was recorded. Mrs. J. Atkins left on Tuesday for Auckland.—Mrs. G. Scragg spent carnival week in Wairoa as the guest of Mrs. A. E. Habgood—Messrs. J. H. Monteith and A. Waddell left on Monday for Waihau Bay on a fishing trip.
