DOMINION UNEMPLOYED 25,000 .MEN ON FUND (For Prnss Association.) ASHBURTON, this day. Answering recent criticism regarding sustenance payments, the Hon. H. T. Armstrong said that of just on 12,000 men -on the list over 8000 held medical certificates of physical incapacity to .work. When men went sick Hinder the previous administration they were struck off the roll and became a charge on hospital boards. There always had been a certain proportion of men out of work, but lie had never known so small a percentage as at present. We were back io normal so far as actual unemployment was concerned, but were paying the wages, or part wages, of 13,000 men out of the employment fund.
