INTERVENTION DENIED

RUMANIAN JEWISH ISSUE

MR. JORDAN NAMED

(Reed. Feb. 4, 10 a.mfl) BUCHAREST, Feb. 3,

After his return from Geneva, M. Micescu denied reports that the New Zealand High Commissioner, Mr. W. J. Jordan, sought to bring about an appeasement of the Rumanian Jewish question.

He added that he had not interviewed Mr. Jordan, (and no one had sought an appeasement.

The Rumanian internal policy did not need moderation, as it was hoped that the results of the forthcoming election would prove that the Jewish question should be removed from the League’s dossiers.
