GAMING-HOUSE CHARGES

In the Magistrate’s Court at Raetihi Jack Wansbrough was fined £6O and costs* 10s on a charge of keeping a common gaming house. It was stated that he was convicted six years ago on a similar charge.
Walter Watson, similarly charged, was fined £SO and costs 10s. He was previbusly convicted in 1920. The magistrate issued a warning that imprisonment would follow if the defendants were convicted again on a similar charge.
