Owen, from Auckland, via Coast bays. Friday, February 4 Awaliou, m.v., (j. 55 a.m„ 410 tons, S. Petlcy, from Napier. DEPARTURES Thursday, February 3 Mako, s.s., 6.35 p.m., 492 ions, G. Nairn, l'or Wellington. Pukeko, m.v., 1.50 p.m., 742 tons, F. S. Bates, for Napier. The Pukeko, which worked Gisborne last evening, is expected to leave Napier to-day for Auckland. The ship loads at Auckland at the beginning of next week for Coast bays, Gisborne and Napier. The Margaret W. is to leave Gisborne to-night with sheep for Tauranga and general cargo for Auckland. At the last-mentioned port she loads as usual on Monday and Tuesday.

The Pakura is due at Tokomaru Bay to-morrow night from Tauranga to load sheep for Orakei.

The Mako left Gisborne at 6.35 p.m. yesterday for Wellington, where she loads to-morrow and on Monday for Napier and Gisborne. The Wainai was expected to leave Lyttelton last night for Wellington. The vessel is due at Gisborne, via Napier, about Wednesday next. Tlie Totara is expected to complete her Westport coal cargo at Tokomaru Bay and sail this evening for southern ports.

The Waitaki is to load at Newcastle about February 12, completing at Sydney, taking general cargo from both ports for Auckland and Gisborne. She is due here about February 23. The Huntingdon is due at Tokomaru Bay about March 1 to load frozen meat, wool and general cargo for Southampton and London. The Aorangi, from Sydney, Auckland and Suva is due at Honolulu to-day. She proceeds thence to Victoria, where she is due on February 10, and at Vancouver on February

The Niagara, from Vancouver and Victoria, via Honolulu, calls at Suva to-day. She is due at Auckland on Monday, arid sails the next day for Sydney. The Matua, from Auckland, calls at Rarotonga to-morrow en route to Nukualofa, Suva, Auckland, and Wellington.

The end of her first month of coastal survey work while operating from trie Mercury Bay base has been completed by the Admiralty survey ship Endeavour. The Endeavour will spend until the end of June surveying the coastline up to the north end of toe Great Barrier Island. A shore camp is established at Mercury Bay, and while the parent ship has been charting in deeper waters her' motorboats have been surveying the coastline and preparing a chart of the harbour.
