WILLIAM POWELL
WANTS TRAGIC ROLES LONDON, Oct. 16. The firm aotor William Powell arrived unexpectedly in London last night from the Continent where he has been on holiday. He intends to stay here four days and then visit Italy. He told a reporter that he does not intend to work so hard in future and that the constant strain of the last seven years has made him vulnerable to illness. "I would rather like a change from light comedy roles to tragedy," added Mr. Powell.
