NEW REGIME IN EGYPT

NATIONAL FLAG HOISTED ALEXANDRIA CEREMONY ALEXANDRIA, Oct. 12. After nearly half a century, the Union Jack has ceased to fly over the British military headquarters. The British and Egyptian National Anthems were played to-day as the Prime Minister, Mustafa El-Nahas Pasha, pressed the electric button which unfurled the Egyptian flag. The building will be handed over to the Egyptian authorities, in accordance with the plan of capitulations, on Friday, when the consular courts will be abolished.
