SESSION PLANS
REASON FOR CONFIDENCE SUPPORT TO GOVERNMENT VIEWS OF MR. SAVAGE SOUTH ISLAND VISIT (Spncia! to tin! Herald.) WELLINGTON, this day. "I am facing this session with more confidence and less worry than any in my life," declared the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, to-day in discussing the sessional prospects. "The plans are working out just as we had hoped and evidence of the Government's success is coming from all parts," mv brief visit to the South Island putting beyond all reasonable doubt the attitude of the people towards the Government's actions up to date. "The history of New Zealand politics," added Mr. Savage, with his mind on his critics, "shows that any attempt to bring about social justice will always get opposition from the reactionary forces of the country. The experience of the late Mr. R. J, Seddon is sufficient evidence for most people." Mr. .lames Thorne (Thames) will move the Address-in-Reply in the House of Representatives and the seconder will be Mr. J. G. Barclay (Marsden).
