REPRESENTATIVE RUGBY

BAY MEN FOR TRAINING ADDITIONS TO LIST In view of the forthcoming senior Rugby representative fixtures and the selection of the combined Poverty Bay-East Coast-Bay of Plenty team to meet the Springboks in Gisborne on September 18, the sole selector to the Poverty Bay Rugby Union, Mr. T, French, has added to his list of men for training. There was a good training muster on the Oval during the week-end. Apart from the men named, Mr. French wishes all the Colts to keep in training also on account of the cur-tain-raiser against the sub-unions on the day of the big match and a possibility of their playing in the team representing the rest of Poverty Bay against the combined team a week before the major fixture. The following players are asked to keep in constant training:— Forwards.—F. McAneney (Celtic). R Rogers (Celtic), A. Bartie (Celtic). W. Steel (Celtic), W. Matheson (YMP), E. O'Halloran (Marist), C. Waide (H.5.0.8J. J. Leach (H. 5.0.8.) G. Phillips (Old Boys), R. Spencc (Old Boys), and G. Dutton (Old B °£ks.-E. Grant .H. 5.0.8.). A McAneney (Celtic), G. Sharp (H.S OB), A. Read (Old Boys), P. Harris (H 50.8.), P- Kaua (Y.M.P.), D Swinburne (Waikohu), Heeney (Marist), A. Webster (H. 5.0.8.), D Vincent (Celtic), and G. Biowi (Y.M.P.).
