Mr. D. Mulligan, Tokomaru Bay, has left to visit Rotorua, Auckland and Wellington.
Mr. Stanley Muir, Gisborne, who underwent a major operation in Mount Pleasant Hospital, Auckland, last week is reported to be making satisfactory progress.
Recent callers at the High Commissioner's Office, London, included Mr. and Mrs. S. D. Spencer, Mr. and Mrs. ,J. Johnstone, Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Smith, of Gisborne.
Mr. Allan H. Holmes, of Messrs. Bigneli and Holmes’ staff, left yesterday for Wellington, where he will attend a service managers’ conference, to be held at the works of the Ford Motor Company (N.Z.), Limited.
Passengers who travelled yesterday on East Coast Airways’ planes between Gisborne and Napier included: Mesdames E. J. Anderson, M. Reedy, T. Allen and M. Luget; Misses M. Reedy, E. Vallance, and J. Doherty: Messrs. L. Caney, A. H. Thomas, and I. Newman.
The touring manager of the Automobile Association (Auckland), Mr. R. E. Champtaloup, the resident patrol, Mr. D. M. McGregor, and the member of the patrol staff who is to relieve Mr. McGregor next month, Mr. H. Ford, returned to Gisborne yesterday afternoon after a survey trip on uie East Coast. Messrs. Champtaloup and Ford intend to leave Gisborne tomorrow on their return to Auckland.
