After falling over 100 ft, from the road in the Ruakituri Valley on Sunday, a car driven by Mr. C. Renner came to rest against a tree badly smashed. Three occupants, includtwo children, escaped injury. Their escape was a very fortunate one, for the bottom of the gully was some distance below the point where the car was brought to a standstill. The car was later brought into Gisborne.
