LOSS OF NINE LIVES
MANY SUFFER INJURIES TRAIN SMASH IN FRANCE SHATTERING OF COACHES (Elec. Tel. Copyright —United Press Assn.) (Reed. July 12, 11.40 a.m.) PARIS, July 11. Nine persons were killed and 27 injured when a passenger train crashed into a stationary train near Le Mans, about 130 miles south-west of Paris.
The rear coaches of the stationary train were smashed to matchwood.
