DEATH IN TOKOMARU BAY
MRS. M. E. B. BIMLER RESPECTED OLD RESIDENT (iTernld Correspondent.) After an illness lasting many months, one of Tokomaru Bay’s oldest and most respected residents, Mrs. M. E. B. Bimler, wife of the late Mr R. Bimler, passed away peacefully in her bed on Friday at the age of 63 years.
Mrs. Bimler was born in Ireland and came to New Zealand while very young. In 1900 sire married Mr. R. Bimler, who predeceased her nine years ago. They were married in Napier and arrived in Tokomaru Bay 35 yearn ago. since when Mrs. Bimler had .found a place - in- the hearts of those with whom she came in contact.
Following the death of her husband, the deceased lived a retired life, but remained very active until she developed the illness which eventually led to her death. She was a staunch supporter of the Roman Catholic Church. Although her death came suddenly, for on Thursday Mrs. Bimler was walking about the house, it was not unexpected. The deceased loaves two of a family to mourn her passing, Mrs. J. O’Neill, Tokomaru Bay, who was at the time living with her mother, and Mr. R. Bimler. Kopuawhara, who arrived in the Bay on Friday night; and two grandchildren. To these survivors great sympathy will be extended from a large number of friends in their sad loss.
The funeral took place from the Catholic Church at Ongaruru on Saturday.
