STEEPLECHASE MEETING TWO DAYS’ NOMINATIONS Optimism on the part of officials of the Poverty Bay Turf Club respecting entries for events at the club’s steeplechase meeting this month received justification last evening, when nominations for the two days' events closed. For practically all the races listed the entries are sufficient to ensure excellent fields, after allowing for the usual proportion of defections following the anouncement of the weights.
