WOMEN’S GOLF TRIALS
TASMAN CUP CONTEST PLAY IN MANAWATU (Pur Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., last night. The Tasman Cup women's golf trials in which players from Hawke’s Bay, Nelson, Wellington, Manawatu, and Wairarapa took part, concluded today. Results were:— Miss Betts (Nelson) boat Mrs. Cook, 3 and 1. Miss Ilelean (Hastings) beat Miss Hornabrook (Masterton), 5 and 4. Mrs. Field (Manawatu) beat Miss Duncan (Belmont), 1 up. Miss Seifert (Manawatu) halved with Miss Ormond (Napier). Miss Wilson (Manawatu) beat Mrs. Foreman (Miramar), 2 and 1. Mrs. Ellison (Napier) beat Mrs. Slater (Hult), 7 and 6.
