TROOPERS CRITICISED FAILURE TO INTERVENE (Ei«c. Tel. Copyright—United Proas Assn.) (Reed. July 9. 3 p.m.) DETROIT. July 8. Newspaper photographers describing the Ford strike on June 27, said that they saw Ford company employees in the so-called service department, strike from behind and brutally beat a United Automobile Workers’ Union organiser, Mr. Frankensteen, who attempted to distribute organisation literature to Ford workers. A girl organiser was kicked in the stomach by a negro. State troopers were standing by watching, and did not interfere.
