AMERICAN SKI TEAM

VISIT TO DOMINION OLYMPIC CONTENDER (Ptir Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Eager to begin serious training in readiness for competition with the New Zealand and Australian teams, four United States University skiers arrived by the'Mariposa. They left for the Chateau Tongariro, where they will compete with the Dominion men on July 17 to 20. Although largely on a vacation visit the team has full official status as representatives of the Ski Federation of America. The team consists of Dick Durrance, national downhill and slalom champion and 1936 Olympic competitor, and the brothers Steve and Dave Bradley, and Jim Loughlin, experts in all branches. Loughlin is a Harvard University man. The others are from Dartmouth University, New Hampshire. The team will visit Mount Cook before going to Australia, where they will meet the Australian and New Zealand representatives.
