DANCE RECITAL
A splendid evening’s entertainment is to be given on Wednesday, July 14, at the Opera House, l?y Miss Tua Smith and her pupils and assisting artists. Mrs. Smith will preside at the piano. The ballets will "be Grecian, operatic, and hoop numbers, by girls of different ages, and varied groupings. The frocking will be a feature. One clever item should be an acrobatic dance; there will also be smart tap-dancing. There are to be a nigger number, by girls, and snappy songs. The opening swinging style of the number, a song and dance, will be performed by some of the pupils, and also a dress parade. Dance duos and song duets, solos apd Maori numbers will be interspersed through the programme. The audience, should be delighted, judging by the performance at a rehearsal. Mr. Lon Sheet's orchestra will play the orchestral numbers.
